Baby-Boomers can age more gracefully than any generation before! New breakthroughs in the neurosciences have uncovered previously unexpected healing and resiliency in the human brain, along with unprecedented studies of neuroplasticity allowing enhancement of mental functions.
We can teach our minds to register, retain, and retrieve details more efficiently. Cognitive science is now providing evidence that brain cells respond to novel mental stimulation and we can build new connections to keep our minds sharp. This course offers an historical overview of how humans have used various memory strategies, beginning with the ancient Greeks and the use of mnemonics.
You will learn specific strategies to organize and associate new information. You will learn how memory experts can demonstrate extraordinary acts of remembering names, faces, numbers, and facts of all kinds.
Now don't forget to come to class! (smile)
