OSHR 1016 - Shaping U.S. Foreign Policy

Noncredit / Fall 2008 NEW

Delivery/Location: Fort Collins

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

We need passports today to travel anywhere outside of the United States. This class provides a different kind of passport - one of understanding U.S. foreign policy issues. You stamp your own travel documents to China, Iraq, and the European Union as you come to learn more about international affairs and foreign aid.

Offered in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Larimer County, this program provides materials and group discussions to enhance perspective on foreign policy issues and how they impact the world. Discussions focus on readings and materials published by the Foreign Policy Association. Participants are encouraged to present additional research within this seminar format.

Two sessions will be spent on each of the following areas as they relate to both foreign policy and foreign aid:
- Iraq: End Game;
- U.S. China Trade Policy and
- European Union at 50.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
