For thousands of years, the Chinese have believed that they can increase human longevity by keeping the mind, spirit, and body young. Dr. Ping Dou will share practical information from this long Chinese history of culture and tradition, focusing on many elements including the history, current practice, and personal application in each of the following areas:
- Mind and Body Connection (Qigong and Tai Chi as examples)
- Food Culture (Tea as an example)
- Use of Natural Herbs
- Acupuncture and Acupressure
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.

Dr. Ping Dou is a native of Beijing. After earning her physician's degree, she practiced medicine in Beijing's Friendship Hospital as a neurologist before coming to the United States. She has lived in Fort Collins for the past 22 years and served as a research scientist in neurosciences at Colorado State University.
