EDUC 628 - Models of Teaching

The daily challenge for every teacher is to adapt their instruction to students with varied learning styles and special needs. This course offers 14 models which can be used to enhance the development of thinking skills, collaborative skills, and creativity as well as mastery. Using the leading research on teaching and learning, major instructional theories and strategies for facilitating cognitive and affective growth will be presented. Assignments and final exam.

William Timpson, Ph.D., is a professor of education at Colorado State University and co-creator of the course. He brings to this course knowledge from classroom teaching experience at the junior and senior high levels and the theory gained from doctoral courses in secondary education.
