BSLL 1031 - Organize Your Work and Successfully Complete Projects: Project Management in the Real World

Noncredit / Fall 2008

Delivery/Location: Denver , Fort Collins

This one day course is designed for non-project management professionals and teaches individuals how to organize their work and projects using project management principles. This interactive class will help you understand the life cycle of a project and teach you how to initiate, manage, control, and close your projects with greater success, no matter the size or complexity. The goal is to internalize project management, to make it second nature, a way of thinking about the decisions you make in managing your work.
This is an instructor led "shared learning" course that will show you how to:

  • Apply basic project management concepts
  • Understand the project life cycle and key processes
  • Identify the scope of the project and how to prevent "Scope Creep"
  • Learn how to implement project management techniques effectively
  • Build a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to better manage the work of the project
  • Increase your success on your projects (large or small)

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
