The Internet is changing the way companies do business.This course will provide an introduction to the basics of electronic business including an examination of the Digital Economy and the forces shaping the new media economy. The course focuses on how eBusiness is carried out, including marketing, web design, and electronic retailing, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of this form of commerce, the infrastructures in place to support this type of electronic business, and the global economy within which it takes place.

The course does presume some level of familiarity with computer and Internet technologies. Students should be familiar with emailing, web browsing, and basic computer operations.

This course was created and is taught by Gatlin Educational Services. This online program is only offered in partnership with major colleges and universities.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
