Noncredit / Summer 2008

Delivery/Location: Fort Collins

This course is designed to introduce simple mold making and metal casting techniques using easy-to-find materials. The resulting product will be two original small-scale designs that can be stand-alone pieces or incorporated into a piece of wearable jewelry. Single-use two-part cuttlebone and plaster molds will be carved, then filled with either molten bronze or silver.

Tools will be provided. A $30 materials fee covers all materials, including casting bronze. Silver is not included; if you wish to cast in silver, you must provide your own casting grain.
