AGRI 140 - Technology in Agriculture

This course covers computer concepts and terminology, including these topics:

  • Windows operating systems
  • Web tools
  • Email
  • Presentation technology
  • Word processing
  • Spreadsheets
  • Databases

The course gives students a beginning experience in the MS Office Suite and an introduction to developing web pages using Dreamweaver. It helps students become familiar with basic tools and prepares them for future coursework involving spreadsheets and in-class presentations.

This course meets prerequisites for more advanced work in the AGRI 320 course series.

Mike Hanna is an instructor in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State University. He has been teaching for 32 years at the high school, community college, and university levels. Mike began working with computers in 1966. He is currently teaching faculty members how to put their courses on the Internet as well as freshman- and junior-level courses in computer applications.
