Organizational Leadership Certificate

The College of Business, in cooperation with The Athena Group, is excited to offer a year-long certificate in Organization Leadership. This program merges experience with an executive education. You will gain leadership tools and techniques to successfully address ongoing organizational issues. An emphasis is placed upon practical application and leadership development supported by personal assessment and coaching.

Organizational LeadershipCoaching between sessions will assist you in the application of class material to the workplace. Additional coaching to expand on topic coverage or open discussion on new subjects is available.

Who Should Attend?

This certificate program is designed for individuals with five or more years of managerial experience who wish to improve their leadership skills and gain more knowledge of what is required to be successful in the changing global economy. Entrepreneurs as well as managers in not-for-profit organizations and professional firms will find the information especially relevant to the challenges that they face in their interactions with employees, clients, and stakeholders.

Session Leaders

Leaders of the sessions bring a wealth of professional and academic experience to the program. Executives, faculty members, and consultants integrate their expertise to offer cutting edge approaches to leadership. Among the guest speakers are:

  • Patricia Aburdene, author of Megatrends 2010 and co-author of the best selling Megatrends 2000
  • Sonny Lubick, former head football coach at Colorado State University
  • Dr. Ajay Menon, Dean of the College of Business, Colorado State University

Enrollment

A letter explaining your work history and a résumé should be sent to G. James Francis. Deadline for enrollment in the program is August 29, 2008.

Tuition

Tuition for the program is $9,800 and includes:

  • all classroom materials,
  • continental breakfasts and lunches,
  • parking,
  • kickoff dinner on September 11 at the Denver Country Club,
  • Executive Education Luncheon on September 12 at the Brown Palace Hotel,
  • receptions, and
  • graduation dinner.

Drop and Refund Policy

This program follows the drop and refund policy with the following exception to the refund periods. Drops received before August 29, 2008 will receive a full refund of tuition minus $100 processing fee. Drops received after this date will receive a 90% refund of tuition. After September 30, 2008 drops will not be allowed.
