Mediation Certificate

Mediation is a rapidly growing field of study. An alternative to the legal system, therapy or counseling, the facilitative mediation process empowers people to resolve conflict in a wide variety of areas including divorce/child custody, health care, workplace, and arbitration.

Institute for Advanced Dispute ResolutionColorado State University School of Social Work in collaboration with the Institute for Advanced Dispute Resolution (IADR) is now offering a certificate designed to train professionals to negotiate and resolve disputes and is similar to programs often available through law schools.

This unique collaboration between the School of Social Work and IADR provides participants with an outstanding faculty and a challenging and practice-based curriculum that will enhance and advance any career including those in the field of social work.

In addition to a certificate, some of these courses are also authorized for recertification in the fields of law, human resources and family life education allowing you to earn a variety of professional education credits/units. Individual course descriptions will indicate if a course is approved for these types of credits.

The lectures were very informative and comprehensive — better than online course work I've done through other universities.

– Susan Taigman

Our instructor worked exceptionally well in expanding beyond the curriculum into the incredible group dynamic.
