Steve Bearden Attending Colorado State's Construction Management program proved to be a pivotal point in my career. My goal was to obtain a job at a top ranked firm and needed more education. Not only did I obtain a valuable credential that opened doors for me — I also expanded my knowledge of the construction industry. As a result, I was hired as an Assistant Project Manager. After helping close out a middle school project, I was assigned to a $33 million dollar new high school project. After a year in that position, I was promoted to Regional Controller of the Colorado office of this national general contractor. I was able to leverage my background in accounting with the technical knowledge acquired at CSU. During the interview process, it was apparent that CSU has a fine reputation as the leader in Construction Management education. CSU was a tremendous investment and is now paying huge benefits.
